Evidence and limits

Finding: A structured pair-use protocol was associated with lower document quality and substantially lower document production than unstructured use. A cognitive framing intervention was associated with higher individual quality at the top of the distribution, subject to reported design limitations.

Impact: Watch protocol and framing interventions. Reject structure alone as evidence of better collaboration. No runtime change.

Boundary: This is a preprint with an AM/PM session confound, differential attrition, and LLM-grading sensitivity to document length. Next: can a preregistered, replicated field study show durable benefit without reducing throughput?

Flags: preprint; reported confounds; one organization

Record State: Catalog review recorded; not a performance endorsement

What was reviewed: Structure and relevance screened; not a full evaluation
